Barclay Erskine is a family run business which has been supplying friendly & professional plumbing & heating services to the Glasgow and Lanarkshire area since 1862. We specialise in domestic systems and undertake works for private clients, commercial companies, housing associations, local authorities and organisations such as churches, bowling clubs, etc.

We take great pride in our customer service and believe that our open and honest approach is one of the reasons much of our business is from previous customers. All our trades people wear our distinctive uniform and are aware of the importance to be polite, courteous and to clean up after themselves.

We also believe that our reputation for reliable, value for money service is second to none, and so whilst we may not always be the cheapest we are happy to display our charges openly for all to see.

Whilst we specialise in heating services and boiler replacement in particular we are happy to take on all sizes of domestic plumbing jobs and repairs, from leaking taps & overflowing cisterns to complete bathroom replacement & full central heating systems, including solar water heating. We are accredited installers for Worcester Bosch and as such offer an extended 5 year warranty on all Worcester Bosch boilers, solar panels, pressurised water tanks, etc.

We also do a lot of work on medical adaptations which are often part funded by the local authority. This can be simply replacing a bath with a low or level-access shower to installing a wet room and specialist bathing and toileting equipment. We are approved contractors and have performed many adaptations for City of Glasgow Council, South Lanarkshire Council, North Lanarkshire Council & East Renfrewshire Council.
